Chris Erichsen
Every map is full of possibilities, but the best ones feel simple and effortless in what they communicate. Chris brings a broad mix of experience in ecology, conservation, business analysis, cartography, and geography.
The child of Peace Corps volunteers, Chris spent three years in Zaire before returning to the U.S. After military service, he studied ecology and conservation biology at Prescott College, then worked with The Nature Conservancy, in wilderness advocacy, and in water-quality consulting before eloping to Italy with his family. It was during this time that he shifted into cartography. Since relocating to Northern California, he enjoys collaborating with publishers, editors, and authors on projects spanning everything from history to science.
